NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today, “titan of twang” (Rolling Stone), Jake Worthington announces his headlining Intent To Tonk Tour hitting markets throughout the U.S. this spring, kicking off in Wilmington, N.C. before hitting Chicago, Nashville, Boston and more before wrapping in New York City. The headlining run adds to a heavyweight touring schedule this year – including stadium dates with Luke Combs, a Stagecoach billing, opening slots for Luke Bryan, HARDY, Parker McCollum, Riley Green and Ian Munsick.

“I’m excited to announce that I’m going on a headlining tour for the first time in a very long time,” Worthington shares. “The Intent To Tonk Tour is coming your way this spring.”

On the road, Worthington will highlight his catalog made for barrooms and honky tonks. Notably, performing his critically acclaimed sophomore album When I Write The Song, named a best album of the year by Rolling StoneBillboard, The Boston Globe, Whiskey Riff, Saving Country Music and more. The record features all-star collaborations with Miranda Lambert, Marty Stuart and Mae Estes.

Unforgettable songs on the album have begun to carve out a space in the cultural ecosystem from viral “It Ain’t The Whiskey” that has racked up over 40 million listens, toditty “My Home’s In Oklahoma,” Lambert collab “Hello Shitty Day,” “I’m The One (feat. Marty Stuart)” and the immensely witty “Two First Names.” When I Write The Song was produced by esteemed hitmakers Joey Moi, Jon Randall and Chuck Ainlay – the forces behind some of country music’s most beloved records.
