NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today, singer-songwriter Alex Lambert bears his heart on “Think I’m In Love,” a gorgeous convergence of country, soul and timeless R&B. Lambert teased the song from a porch step with his band, generating organic demand for the gorgeous new song.
“Think I’m In Love” reflects Lambert’s singular sonic world where warm grooves merge with the lush textures of country instrumentation. He wrote the track alongside Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Rivers Rutherford. In a vulnerable admission, Lambert sings:
I think I’m in love with you
But it’s just too soon to tell
Oh, I think I’m in love
I just haven’t told myself
The Texas native announced his signing with buzzed-about imprint Big Loud Texas, co-founded by Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall, in January. Lambert’s debut label release, “Shoot Me Down,” was named one of the “Best New Country Songs” by Holler. “Rules of Attraction” and “You Make Sense To Me” followed and serve as statements of artistic intent. Most recent “Lay Down In A Pickup” is a hushed but spellbinding reverie that brings Lambert’s rich, distinct sound to the forefront.
Lambert will perform at Crusens in Peoria, Illinois tonight supporting Paul Cauthen on his The Book Of Paul Tour.
